Textures

For my texture photo set, I wanted to edit the photos in a variety of different ways. I wanted the photos that I altered in lightroom to be very bright and fun to look at, so I tried to bring out the different hues in each photo and also increased the vibrance. For the black and white photo, the tree was basically black and white to begin with, so I increased the contrast between the two colors in order to make it look different from the original photo. I wanted you to be able to clearly see both of the textures in my double exposure photos, along with the photo with a texture in a specific area, so I made sure to bring the opacity down enough that you could see everything. My collage was inspired by David Hockey, a very influential British artist who developed the idea of a "joiner." A "joiner" takes different prints of a photo and combines them together in order to create a "cubism" style photo. I wanted there to be a variety of color in my "joiner" collage so I increased the vibrance and hues of many different colors in order to get that effect. My favorite photos are the first photo of the tree and the double exposure photo with the rocks and wooden boards. I like the photo of the tree because it is very vibrant and I like how colorful the green hues of the tree bark are. I like the double exposure photo because the two textures look very interesting on top of one another.
