In order to interpret the theme of spring in my photo set, I tried to focus on the many aspects of it. First, I wanted to include what was happening outside, so I included photos of trees and flower buds starting to grow. However, it was very cold outside when taking these photos, so I also included some photos of the spring decorations we had inside my house, such as the welcome sign and the Easter eggs. Finally, I included the photo of the ferris wheel in order to have the aspect of spring break shown in my photo set. I did not pay very much attention to the backgrounds of my photos, however I am pleased with how most of them turned out, especially because this is my first photo set. My favorite photo is the second photo of the tree because I like the contrast between the blacks and whites and I think the vignette around the edges adds a cool effect. My least favorite photo is the welcome sign because I actually like the non edited version better and I was not pleased with how the color pop looked on the black background. In order to improve my photos going forward, I am going to focus more on the backgrounds of my photos and also work on making the edited photos look less similar to the originals.
