Selfies

I was actually very excited to do a selfie photo set because I enjoy taking selfies and I don't mind having them online. I think all of these photos turned out very well and I am pleased with all of the images. For the first image, I decided to edit it in black and white because I was finding it difficult to bring out the color of my eyes, which are greenish-brown. I wanted my feet to contrast with the color of the wood in the second image, so I tried to bring out the shadows and darker colors, and lighten the whites. It took me many tries to get the right two handed selfie because I was not happy with how they were turning out, however I really like how I edited the final image and it is one of my favorites in the set. For the fourth photo of the objects, I just increased the vibrance and saturation of the different hues in order to make every object stand out. For the rule of thirds selfie, I actually used an image that I already had and just edited it to make it brighter. I tried several different poses for the ghost lens photo and it took me a very long time to figure out how I wanted it to look, but after editing it I am happy with how it turned out. Finally, for the appropriation portrait I was very skeptical of how it was going to look, but it actually looks much better than I expected, and I think I edited it well. Other than the two handed selfie, my favorite photo in this set is the close up photo of my eye because it was taken from an interesting angle and I really like how it looks in black and white.
