Portrait Photoset

For this photo set, we were supposed to take inspiration from different artists and styles of art in order to edit our photos in interesting ways. For the first photo, I used a portrait of my friend Sydney to create a scribble edit, which is done by erasing parts of the picture and then adding it back in to make it look like you scribbled all over the image. I also used a gradient in the background which is one of my favorite new editing tools, and put her name in different colors in the background. The second photo of my dog is a collage inspired by Andy Warhol. Andy Warhol used many bright and contrasting colors to make his art look abstract and almost poster-like, and I tried to do the same in my photo. I also added my dog's name, Izzy, in the background so it would not be plain. The third photo is a candid inspired by the paintings of Peter Max. Similar to art created by Andy Warhol, Peter Max liked to use all kinds of color in his paintings along with simple shapes. In order to make my photo look like one of his paintings, I posterized the image to make it look less like a photo and more like a painting, and added a rainbow gradient in the background along with many colorful shapes. Finally, we were able to edit the last photo in any way we wanted, so I used a blue and pink gradient on top of the image to keep the theme of colorful and fun, and then did some simple edits in Lightroom.
